# What mymeddiCAL is — and is not

> mymeddiCAL stores and reminds. It does not give clinical advice or decide if a child is safe to attend.

## In one line

mymeddiCAL is a **reminder and a repository** of health information your organisation and families already have. It is **not** a clinical decision support tool, and it is **not** a substitute for a doctor, nurse, first-aid officer, or the student's written plan.

## What it is for

* Storing health plans and documents created by qualified clinicians or provided by families
* Reminding staff and guardians of those plans and of scheduled medication
* Logging that a medication was given (who, when, what dose)
* Digitising forms and collecting guardian paperwork (permissions, camp forms)
* Helping you find an official form for a regulated setting — you still confirm it is the right form

## What it must never do

mymeddiCAL will not:

* Recommend a treatment, dose, or “what to do if…”
* Say a child is **safe**, **ready**, or **not ready** for camp, sport, or school
* Score clinical risk or “compliance”
* Replace 000 / your local emergency number, Nurse-on-Call, or your organisation’s first-aid procedures

  Emergency: **call your local emergency services number** and **follow the student's existing health plan**. Do not use mymeddiCAL to decide clinical action.

## Forms and any in-app helper

Find-a-form and Digitise use AI only to suggest **form templates**. They never read a student's health record or give treatment advice. You tick that you have verified the form is appropriate before it enters your library. See [Sending and tracking forms](/staff/managing-forms).

Any onboarding helper in the web app (staff only) can point at screens and counts. It cannot send invites, change records, or give medical advice.
