## Student Allowed Medications 💊

A new, quick-reference list of medications a student has been confirmed OK to take — for example, after a parent calls to confirm their child can have an antihistamine. It's a lookup, not a gate: staff can still act on consent given by phone or other means, this just gives everyone an easy place to check and record it.

  <Card title="For staff" icon="user-nurse">
    Add an allowed medication straight to a student's profile from the **Medication** tab — it's active immediately, with an optional note and instructions. See the last time it was recorded as given, right there in the list.
  </Card>

  <Card title="For guardians" icon="mobile">
    Request a medication be added for your child from the mymeddiCAL app. Your request is sent to the school for review and you'll be notified by email and in-app once it's approved or rejected.
  </Card>

Guardian requests show up for administrators in the **Approvals** tab and the notification bell, right alongside co-guardian requests — nothing to miss.

<Note>
  This first version covers medications that are **allowed**. It doesn't yet cover restricted or do-not-give medications — that's a future release.

## A guided onboarding assistant for staff 🩹

Look for the two small coloured plasters in the header, next to your notifications. Click them to open a panel that knows which page you're on:

* On the **dashboard**, it starts with how staff sign in (password or Microsoft/Google sign-in), then live counts of students, guardians, and outstanding invitations.
* On a **camp** page, it lists outstanding attendance-permission paperwork so you know exactly who still needs to respond.

The assistant answers from your organisation's own live data — it doesn't give medical advice, send anything on your behalf, or change any records. Think of it as a friendly, always-available guide to "where do I start" and "what needs my attention", with links out to the full help centre for step-by-step detail.

## Smoother dashboard calendar 📅

The **Day** and **Week** views on your dashboard calendar now scroll and navigate independently, laid out as a clearer horizontal agenda — easier to scan what's coming up without the two views getting in each other's way.
